Community Advisory Board
Independence Media brings together a diverse group of interested and active community citizens to engage in a public discourse of contemporary issues and their intersection with media. Topics are announced that evening, but we have discussed various topics including poverty, learning and “how we know what we know,” guns and violence, community standards for TV, and financial literacy, among others. Each session is 90-minutes long, includes a mix of staff and community members, and is led and moderated by Howard Blumenthal, CEO.
